Community participation is a central part of the Upper Arlington 2026 Master Plan. Residents, community members, and local partners will help shape the future of Upper Arlington through shared ideas, feedback, and collaboration. Throughout the process, there will be multiple opportunities to get involved, including public meetings, workshops, surveys, and community events. Parks & Recreation Survey
After achieving most of the goals laid out by the City’s 2018 Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Plan, it’s time to look ahead to a new future of opportunities, and Upper Arlington’s Master Plan update includes a next-generation roadmap for UA Parks & Rec. The updated plan will guide long-term investments to maintain and improve our community’s parks, public trails, recreation facilities and programs.

As part of the Upper Arlington Master Plan update, a Parks & Recreation Survey will be launched to help inform the next-generation roadmap for Upper Arlington's parks and recreation system. The updated plan will guide long-term investments to maintain and enhance the community's parks, trails, recreation facilities, and programs.

The Master Plan online community survey, conducted during Phase II of the project, will gather resident perspectives on the current state of Upper Arlington. The survey will capture community sentiment, priorities, and experiences to help inform the planning process and guide the development of future recommendations.
August 21 - September 11

The first public meeting for the Upper Arlington 2026 Master Plan will introduce the community to the planning process and provide an overview of the project’s purpose, goals, and timeline, along with a review of Upper Arlington’s history to help ground future planning discussions in the city’s past and present context. Community members and residents will have opportunities to share input on key issues, opportunities, and priorities, helping to begin shaping a collective vision and goals for Upper Arlington’s future.

The second public meeting, held during Phase II of the project, will introduce the preliminary vision and core values developed through earlier engagement and analysis. Community members will be invited to review these concepts and provide feedback to help refine priorities and ensure the vision reflects shared community values.
Fall 2026

During Phase IV of the project, a third public meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to review the preliminary draft of the Master Plan and offer feedback on proposed recommendations. Input gathered during this meeting will support refinement of the plan and help ensure alignment with community priorities prior to final adoption.
Spring 2027

During Phase IV of the project, a second online community survey will be made available to the community to provide an additional opportunity for residents and stakeholders to review draft Master Plan content and offer input on proposed recommendations. The survey will be used to gather detailed feedback on key strategies, policies, and implementation actions. Results from this engagement effort will inform further refinement of the plan and help ensure that the final document reflects community priorities and values prior to adoption.
